Welcome to the Communication Arts program! It’s an exciting time to be involved in the media. Every time you turn around, there is always something new and innovative to learn about the industry.

That being said, it’s important to start off your semester with the right tools. To complete your assignments in many of the courses, you are required to provide:

• Digital SLR (single-lens reflex) Camera

• Professional-Quality Digital Recorder

All manufacturers carry a wide variety of models within a large price range. Costs can range from $400 to over $2000 depending on the accessories and features you choose.

Choosing a model is completely up to you, but we like the Canon Rebel series if you’re looking for a good starter camera. Other major manufacturers like Sony, Nikon and Pentax are also acceptable options.

You are responsible for maintaining your equipment. Loss or damage of your personal items will need to be replaced quickly in order to continue to complete your assignments. Please take advantage of warranties and renters insurance to ensure you are able to continue with your schooling.

Where to find your Endeavour

Over 5000 copies of The Endeavour are printed and distributed per edition. It has a potential reach of 6500 students, staff and faculty across the Lethbridge College Campus and in college residence. Copies of the Endeavour are also delivered directly to over 2800 homes in west Lethbridge and over 800 copies are sent high-traffic businesses in Lethbridge.
